Lydiate Leopards had last their last match before the Christmas break at the weekend. It was an enthralling match and not for the faint hearted. The opposition took their chances and raced into a 2-0 lead. It took a while for the Leopards to get going but they got one goal back from a great strike from Harry before half time. The second half was more of the same however Leopards were starting to play some good football and had 4 or 5 good chances to score. With 4 minutes to go and with a defeat looming, Lydiate equalised. Harry took a quick kick in and scored with a great strike in the corner. With a minute left it got even better for the Leopards with the ball breaking to Thomas on the right who took his chance to win the game with a shot into the bottom corner. The parents, the team and the manager were jubilant and it was no more than the team deserved.

Kuavo man of the match was for a well deserving Harry, for his two goals and all-round play. He gave the opposition defenders no time on the ball with his constant effort to put pressure on, as well as linking up the play with the rest of the team.
